After the Vietnam war, a group of scientists, soldiers and those from Monarch organization journey to the newly discovered Skull Island. When they drop bombs on the island to map the island's seismology, they are attacked by a huge Gorilla, Kong. A survivor living with the natives informs them that Kong protects the inhabitants of the Skull Island from undergound monsters.
